Warm and personalized welcome from the owners.
The layout of the bathroom was inconvenient, as it was not en-suite and required going downstairs, which was particularly disruptive during the night. The heating in the room was erratic. there were times I felt too hot while other moments it took forever to warm up. the lack of toiletries in the room made my stay less comfortable.

amazing spot for exploring windermere's attractions and parks
The guest house is just steps away from the Windermere Train Station and various shops, making it super easy to stroll around and enjoy the lovely park views nearby. I loved having delicious dining options like the Golden Mountain Chinese Restaurant and The Elleray Restaurant just a short walk from my room.

I stayed in a Double Room with Private External Bathroom for three nights. The cleanliness was spotless throughout my visit, which really made me feel comfortable. In terms of location, everything is within a short walk, which is convenient. The owners were friendly and provided complimentary toiletries, which was a nice touch. Breakfast options were decent and priced fairly. there were some drawbacks. the external bathroom layout was inconvenient. Having to go downstairs for the shower and toilet wasn't ideal, especially in the middle of the night. The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent, switching between scalding hot and freezing cold. The heating in the room was also a bit erratic. sometimes it felt too hot, and other times it took time to warm up. While I appreciated the cozy atmosphere, the small size of the room felt cramped, particularly for two people. This could be something to keep in mind if you’re planning a longer stay.

The location was ideal for our family, with easy access to the Tourist Centre for day trips, and the charming town with shops and eateries just a stroll away. The warm and welcoming environment made it easy for our children to feel right at home, while the personalized breakfast service and generous portions fueled our adventures each day.
The only downside was the inconsistent water temperature in the showers during our stay.
